MIDDLE SCHOOL :: 5/6
This past Sunday we had guest speaker Leanne Blackmore come and speak with our 5/6 Graders on “Love” and what keeps us from that love. Leanne defined two terms to help us understand what keeps us from loving God and loving others. These terms are: fear & coveting. The verses we worked through were ::  Galatians 5:22-23a, 1 Corinthians 13:4-8a, 1 John 4:18, Deuteronomy 5:21, Deuteronomy 6:5-6, and Ezekiel 36:25-27.
Question to ask ::
What are things in your life that you love that sometime compete with loving God?
MIDDLE SCHOOL :: 7/8
This Sunday we kicked off our series of Sin, Shame and Secrecy. We invited parents to attend three different breakout sessions with their student to help them unpack their sin and the path it takes them along and tools to move forward.
Question to ask ::
If you could change one thing about your middle school experience so far, what would it be?
Middle School Director
HIGH SCHOOL :: 9-12
Why should you honor your parents? Last night Traci addressed that question and the fifth commandment in Part Three of our series A New Kind of Law. She gave five responses to the initial question: 1. Because parents stand in the place of God. 2. Because it pleases God. 3. Because we will reap blessings. 4. Because loving God looks like keeping His commands. 5. To avoid the consequences of disobedience.

Questions to ask ::

What do you think showing honor looks like?
Why does God give us the Ten Commandments?
Why do you think I give you commandments?
How would you assess our relationship in its current state?
What does God want our relationship to look like?
