We are replacing our Pushpay account with a new giving system called Kindrid. It is simple, offers a new mobile text giving option, and will save Blythefield tens of thousands of dollars which will be used in our community and around the globe.
How long will it take me to switch my recurring gift?
It should take about 2 minutes of your time. Thanks for doing that before November 30.
Why did BHBC switch giving systems?
By switching to Kindrid, we gain some features that we didn’t have before. Here are some more reasons:
New mobile text giving is fast and doesn’t require internet connection or an app.
The processing fees are much less, resulting in more of your gift being used for our mission and ministry. This switch will save BHBC tens of thousands of dollars each year.
Kindrid saves administrative time for our finance team.
Soon Kindrid will offer an option for givers to cover the processing fees. You can reduce our fees even more by setting up your gift to come directly from your bank checking or savings account (ACH). Using a credit or debit card (even though it might pull directly from your bank account) costs more to process through Visa, MasterCard and other merchants.

Kindrid is a company dedicated to unleashing generosity. BHBC partners with Kindrid for text and online giving.
How do I switch my automatic recurring gift from Pushpay to Kindrid?
If you have an automatic gift set up through our current Pushpay giving system or the Pushpay app, follow these steps to switch your gift to Kindrid in about 2 minutes:
First, cancel your old recurring gift at pushpay.com/login. Once logged in, click on Edit next to your recurring gift, click Cancel and finally Yes. We suggest also deleting the Pushpay app from your smartphone.

Do I need to cancel Pushpay if I give a different amount each week/month?
No, you will simply stop using your Pushpay account. Instead you will go to our Give page to send your gift each time. You could also set a bookmark for Kindrid Giving.
How do I set up a new gift on Kindrid?
Set up a Kindrid account and gift at Kindrid Giving. You can choose a recurring or one-time gift.
How long will it take me to give on Kindrid?
Setting up a new account will take 1-2 minutes. After setup, future electronic gifts to BHBC can be done in about 10 seconds.
How do I give with mobile texting?
From your smartphone,
Start a new text message. Text the word Give to 616-433-2011. The secure giving process will start with Kindrid verifying your mobile number.
You will be asked to register your phone number with a bank account number or a credit/debit card your first time.
Simply enter your gift amount (for example ‘100’ or ‘250’) and Send the text.
The next time you use mobile texting, simply enter your gift amount (ex. ‘10’) and click Send.

What is the phone number I text and whose is it?
The phone number you are texting is a secure number that belongs to Blythefield, through Kindrid Giving. It is used exclusively for giving.
How do I know what fund my text giving is being sent to?
Your gift will go to the BHBC General Fund by default. If you would like to indicate which campus you attend, simply text your gift amount to GeneralEN (Ensley Campus), GeneralNV (Northview Campus) or GeneralRK (Rockford Campus).
How are contributions to each Campus tracked?
Blythefield functions as ONE Church with multiple locations. That means all gifts to the General Fund – regardless of which Campus you attend – are combined into one budget to further our mission of Always Making Disciples. By indicating which Campus you attend, we are helped in our planning by understanding giving from each Campus.
How do I text give to Missions or Benevolent funds?
In addition to your gift to the General Funds, you can give via text to the same funds that are listed online: Building, Benevolent, Missions, etc. Simply text the gift amount and the keyword of the fund you would like to give to. (For example: ‘50 Missions sends $50 to the Missions fund.)
What if I accidentally type the wrong amount?
When you make a gift, you will receive a text confirmation that re-states the amount given. If you made a mistake, you can respond with the word “REFUND” within the first 15 minutes and you will not be charged. After 15 minutes, you can email Kindrid, and they will contact BHBC for approval to process your refund.
Is my personal information sent in a text message?
We never send any personal or financial information via text message. We simply facilitate giving. Your personal and financial information is always encrypted and stored securely.
Is my card and bank account information secure?
Yes, absolutely. All sensitive financial information is stored with bank level security. All information is secured with 256 AES encryption and stored by our banking partner to Level 1 PCI compliance standards. Additionally, all transmissions to our banking partner and on our site are via an encrypted HTTPS connection.
How do I update my phone number?
If you would like to update the phone number on your giving account, simply send Kindrid an email with the old and new phone number for your account. They will take care of it and have you giving again in no time!
