Annual Business Meeting – May 19, 6pm All Magnify members are invited by the church board to an important meeting and a time of celebrating God’s faithfulness. The agenda items, budget and ways to vote and livestream information will be emailed to members. Anyone is invited to attend this meeting, but only current members are allowed to speak and vote. Times for questions and answers are set for May 12, 10:15-10:45am and May 19, 10:15-10:45am and 4:30pm at Rockford in room 304.
May 20 – Financial Planning Ministries Seminar; Northview Campus. Join us for an opportunity to have trusts, wills, powers of attorneys and medical power of attorneys professionally created at no cost. Email [email protected] if you are interested in attending and are a current attender or member.
Alaska Team Work Projects – the Alaska 1829 team is looking for work projects to help cover the cost of their trip. Please contact [email protected] for additional details.

GLOBAL PARTNERS AROUND THE WORLD
Ellie Haddad – Current President of ABTS
Founded in 1960 in the hills overlooking Beirut, the Arab Baptist Theological Seminary (ABTS) equips servant leaders for the ministry challenges arising in the Middle East and North Africa; be it theology, apologetics, communication, pastoral care, ethics, society or culture.
ABTS was founded to equip leaders for the church in Lebanon and the Arab world. The main vehicle for this has been full-time residential education. The curriculum previously used had been similar to curricula
used in theological education globally but delivered in Arabic. A new curriculum was devised that significantly transformed the ministry of ABTS. This curriculum expanded the vision of theological education to include leadership formation. The shape of this curriculum can be simply
summed up as holistic, contextual and integrated.
Our new strategy for our core ministry is to transform our full-time residential program into what we are currently calling a modified residential program. With this new format, we are now able to equip the key leaders in the region who are eager to be trained, yet who cannot come to Lebanon for three years because they are immersed in ministry. We want this new program to be accessible. Instead of looking for full-time students, our new strategy is to look for those in full-time ministry who can invest two hours per day for the duration of the program (in addition to the annual short residencies in Lebanon).
From March 25-27, Arab Baptist Theological Seminary, received the reaccreditation for their Certificate in Ministry, Bachelor of Theology and their Master of Theology. This is part of our commitment to providing high-quality theological education and preparing effective leaders for ministry through the Arab Church.
